About The Moose

The Loyal Order of Moose is a fraternal and service organization founded in 1888 by Dr. Henry Wilson in Louisville, Kentucky, and is presently headquartered in Mooseheart, Illinois. The main charitable causes we support are at-risk youth facing adversity for various reasons and relief for our elderly members - including the Mooseheart campus in Illinois where such youth are given an entire city of resources free of cost - as well as Moosehaven, our city of contentment located in Orange Park, FL - where our elderly members can affordably retire with access to free health care and other great benefits.

Contributions from all lodge activities, whether it may be proceeds from games and entertainment, the lodge social quarters and bar, weekly events such as “Queen of Hearts” - as well as other charitable endeavors, which we call “Heart of the Community” benefit members and non-members alike in their times of need, including various disaster relief funds and even volunteering our time in the community where Moose Members are called upon to help balance the scales of life for children and elderly facing adversity.
